In-Universe:
A slow zoom in on the front of the U.S.S. Defiant while cruising at warp speed.
Production:
Standard stock footage of the Defiant studio model. To shoot this scene they had the camera on a dolly that was on a straight track. They would program the camera to move towards the model and slowly tilt as it got closer, then it would just pass by the model. This would have to be done several times for lighting, etc.
